About
We’ve been so busy that it hasn’t been possible to arrange a yoga festival this year (2015), but we’re hatching plans already for 2016! We’ll let you know as soon as things are official!
The last Aberdeen Yoga Festival took place on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th April 2014 in the Northern Arts Club building on Bon Accord Square in Aberdeen City Centre.
The theme was Yoga as a Way of Life, or Yoga On and Off the Mat. There were a variety of classes on offer including posture classes, breathwork, meditation, talks on yoga and kirtan.
There were teachers from Aberdeen and further afield, from different yoga traditions giving attendees a wide perspective and experience of the the wider meanings and applications of yoga.
Every year, Aberdeen Yoga Festival seeks to celebrate yoga in all its different forms, promoting its benefits and providing an opportunity for people to explore different styles of yoga and meet different teachers.
Open to everyone from complete beginners to the more experienced, young and old, fit and unfit. If you’ve never tried yoga, the festival is a great way to find out which style suits you. If you’re already practising, it’s an opportunity to widen your experience and deepen your understanding.
