 martin_web-150x150 Martin Julich is founder and organiser of the Aberdeen Yoga Festival. He is also owner, director and teacher at Love Yoga Ltd. He has been practising Yoga for 26 years. He loves the clarity and precision of Iyengar, his first form. Other influences come from Erich Schiffmann and his Teacher Trainer Godfri Devereux, who inspires us to simply practice to be present to what is actually happening. Martin also teaches Shiatsu, Five Rhythms Dancing and Qigong. He is a practitioner of Chinese Herbal Medicine, and trusts in a holistic approach to body, work and life.  rebecca_web-150x150 Rebecca Murray is co-founder and co-organiser of the Aberdeen Yoga Festival, and a director and teacher at Love Yoga Ltd. She is very enthusiastic about yoga and believes it can benefit everyone. She has a strong personal practice incorporating asana (physical postures), pranayama (breath work), mantra and meditation. Ashtanga was her starting point, but her style is eclectic. She has a fantastic teacher who skilfully guides her through her ongoing studies. She’s trained with many renowned teachers to date.  joe burn 150x150 Joe Burn started Iyengar yoga in April 1990 and has studied with the BKS, Gita and Prashant Iyengar in Pune for a total of eight months on three separate occasions. In addition he attended the Euro Yoga event in Crystal Palace where BKS Iyengar taught and was also taught by Gita in the same venue some years later.He teaches regular weekly classes at Queen’s Cross church in Aberdeen.  Louisa_150x150 Louisa Craig has been practising various types of yoga (Kundalini, Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow) for 15 years, and teaching children & special needs over 8 years, adults for over 4 years. She teaches in various health clubs, schools and nurseries in Aberdeen and throughout Grampian, and also provides kids’ birthday parties in homes and various other venues in Aberdeen and surrounding areas.  CVD Mug AYF Colin Victor Dunsmuir, a practitioner of yoga for over 20 years, completed many teacher trainings in different approaches and practiced the first and second series of Ashtanga Vinyasa under the guidance of the late Pattabhi Jois and his grandson Sharath in Mysore, India. From there his search for a deeper experience and understanding from the many methods presented by Professor T Krishnamacharya led him to be invited to study directly with this great family. Following years of extensive training, guidance and practice he is honoured to be a Yoga Teacher Trainer and Yoga Therapist in the tradition of Prof. T Krishnamacharya and TKV Desikachar.
2005-06 GIS West 024 Sarah Hatcher has thirteen years of daily practice experience and ten years of Mysore-style teaching experience. She practised with S.K. Pattabhi Jois and Sharath Ragaswamy in Mysore and New York; and her principle teachers are David Garrigues and Dena Kingsberg. Whilst helping David Garrigues open his Ashtanga Yoga School of Philadelphia, he taught her the Advanced A and part of the Advanced B series. She now teaches the morning Mysore program at Love Yoga Ltd on Union Terrace.

 lynnenewcombe_150x150 Lynne Newcombe has been practising and teaching yoga for over 30 years. She trained in London to become a British Wheel teacher in 1978. She teaches Kundalini and Hatha Yoga, and teaches one regular weekly Kundalini class in Aberdeen at the Aberdeen Yoga Centre. A physiotherapist, she has a practice at Beechgrove Physiotherapy Clinic.  Karina Stewart_150x150 Karina Stewart has been teaching Hatha Yoga since February 2004. Karina’s particular passion within Yoga is for Mantra which she incorporates into her classes, workshops and retreats. She attends as many Mantra workshops as she can and pilgrimages to India each January on a spiritual journey of Mantra and self-discovery. lauradavison Laura Davison began training in Shiatsu in 1982, rapidly thereafter achieving qualifications to teach the subject. As well as a Practitioner and Teacher of Shiatsu, Laura is also Principal of Aberdeen School of Shiatsu, director for the Rosemount Centre for Complimentary Therapies and has served as a director of the Shiatsu Society.  JenMug Jen Stewart‘s interest in alternative therapies begin 16 years ago during her first reiki course. Since then she has trained in Ayurvedic massage whilst living in Spain and after returning to Aberdeenshire she has studied & practiced Crystal therapy.
